Sometimes it hard to know what sources of information are trustworthy. The information is confusing or inconsistent and everyone has an opinion. It’s important to talk to your healthcare provider early about alcohol and marijuana use before, during, and after your pregnancy.
Ready to learn more? Whether you’re just living healthy, pregnant or planning to become pregnant, we have research-based resources to support you.
Because the use of alcohol, tobacco and marijuana is so widespread, many people do not realize it is harmful during pregnancy. Reducing any amount helps. Today is For Me. is a public awareness campaign that reaches out to people, who could become pregnant, in order to increase knowledge of harmful substances like alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana and offer access to evidence-based resources. Many of these resources are there to treat and reduce problems associated with early learning, social-emotional development, physical and mental health challenges that are connected to substance use during pregnancy, and other health disparities.
